What is the best bar in Pasadena? I don't care if it is a sports bar, lounge, club, pub, or tavern. I just want a place to have a beer with some friends.

I like the new equator food and the fact that they now have a full bar. It looks like a good place to meet people, but i watch sports games when I normally go to bars.
depends on what you're looking for in a bar. i personally like rugged & cozy dive bars with a "real" atmosphere. i don't like the 35er, too rough and dirty and noisy. but take the rancho on n. lake. small and dark and cluttered, but great drinks and an atmosphere of people having a good time, not trying to impress anyone but making friends with a fellow drinker. if you like something chic, then yeah, equator or neomeze. old town pub is a pretty kick ass place too. very, very tiny but very nostalgic and a real charm. it's takes a labyrinth of alleys to get there so you don't get trendy crowds of colorado blvd. but if you're looking for sports and billiards, then jakes and barneys is the place to be. jakes has karaoke on thursday nights too, which is a lot of fun =)
villa sorriso and the new iXtapa cantina.. If you ever want to celebrate your bdays on friday or saturday at these venues just email me at sham@spotlightcali.com or call/text 626.241.4711
